财政司司长在其 2022-23 年度财政预算案中提议豁免商业登记费，由 2022 年 4 月 1 日起为期一年。根据该建议，就有效期在2022年4月1日或之后但2023年4月1日之前开始的商业及分行登记证须缴付的费用将分別获宽减HK$2000 元及HK$ 73 。商业登记署考虑了有关建议，在发出业务或分行业务的续证及缴费通知书时，不征收上述期间的登记费。商户仍须缴付HK$250征费。
